Neiman, Jerry & Chris - 1991 Jeep Wrangler
I purchased a Jeep at the urging of my wife. We enjoy taking rides through the woods…especially in the fall.
I purchased this YJ in stock form. I thought it was pretty rust free. Unfortunately, the frame was packed so hard with mud, it had a huge hole. The diamond plate trim also hid a few holes. We really enjoyed our rides and found a whole community of great Jeepies. It was such a hit that I took on the task of restoring it.
I took it completely down to the frame. The frame and body were repaired. I finished it with a beautiful coat of red paint - my first paint job. I lifted the Jeep with a 2 1/2 inch suspension lift and added larger aggressive tires. An aftermarket front bumper was added along with a Warn winch. The classic KC lights were added to the front bumper.
The restoration took 7 months. Considering I did all of the work myself; I feel this was pretty quick.
Since the restoration, we have been on many trail rides. It has been a blast.
